• Having been a patient at the surgery for the majority of my life, I always feel at ease coming for my appointments.  Today was, initially, no different when I was coming in to have a tooth fixed by Dr Woolley, until it became apparent that I would need to have an injection to numb the area before work could commence.  I have a huge phobia of needles, and explained this to Dr Woolley who immediately got to work putting me at ease again.  Throughout the whole process of having the injection, Dr Woolley was outstanding, reminding me to breathe and calming me down.

  Having had this needle phobia for quite a long time, I have come across a wide spectrum of healthcare professionals – from those who say they understand, but clearly don’t (and use phrases such as “it won’t hurt” and “let me do it quickly and you won’t even know it’s happening…” – neither of which are helpful) to those who have been an embarrassment to the health service in the way they have treated me!  It isn’t often, however, I come across someone who truly understands that this is a phobia and is able to keep me calm for the whole process.  Dr Woolley is such a person, and so I wanted to let you know just how exceptional this is, and how much I appreciated it.  He was even able to get me laughing and joking, when deep down I was terrified!

  I’m conscious that, in today’s society, we are quick enough to complain if something is wrong, but perhaps not always so quick to commend when someone has done a good job – which is why I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you of my exceptionally positive experience being treated by Dr Woolley today.  I am sure you already know what a great team you have, however I would just like to add a thanks to your whole team.  Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and go out of their way to make the patients feel welcome and looked after.

• I have been attending this Practice for nearly 30 years along with my children, always well looked after and trust that I am getting the best treatment with great results. Staff are all lovely and what can sometimes be a nerve wracking experience isn’t, they make you feel very comfortable. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

• I had my second appointment with Dr. Stephen Woolley today – my teeth feel amazing! I was very apprehensive visiting the dentist, but Dr. Woolley specialises in dealing with nervous patients and is a fantastic dentist. I’m a very nervous patient, by Dr. Woolley put me at ease straight away, talking me through every step of the treatment, and reminding me to focus on my breathing. This dentist practice (and Dr. Spiller) came highly recommended to me by a close family member, and I completely agree with the recommendation. This is an excellent, first class dental practice, with exceptional staff. I’m so glad I took the step to visit this dentist – I can’t rate Dr. Woolley and Bay House highly enough.

• The kindness, patience & professionalism I have received from Bayhouse Dental has been fantastic. After many visits Sian ( Reception) & Michelle (Hygienist) have given me constant reassurance & invaluable advice and I feel very fortunate to have Simon Spiller as my dentist. The Bayhouse staff are always smiling & welcoming on every visit and they have turned a very devastating incident for me into a bearable experience with an amazing outcome – I have my smile back!
